Only 10 Shopping Days 'till Christmas...and some Yarn Pron

Just simple classic Christmas-y colors of red, white and green.

Louet Gems merino in Cherry Red (deeper red than the photo shows). This is supposed to be a pair of Christmas socks that I no hope of ever starting before Christmas so I'm thinking....Valentine's Day?

Alpaca with a Twist Fino 70% Baby Alpaca/30% Silk in a soft winter white

If I ever finish my Flower Basket shawl, this will be my next shawl project

And finally, a color where I couldn't get the lighting right but this supposed to be Malabrigo in Forest green...like a Christmas tree

I wish the rich greens could have come out, but trust me, it's soft, it's green, it's Malabrigo after all.

I partcipated in the Knit the Classics Ornament Swap and, in keeping with theme of "A Christmas Carol" I gave my talented downstream swap partner, Mary G, a gift representing Christmas Past:

A pair of vintage knitting needles and vintage ornament

Christmas Present:
A knitted wreath and sock (and stitch markers made by Ceallach)

And Christmas Future was represented by 2 skeins of red Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport (forgot to photograph).

"I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach." -C. Dickens
