Friday Yarn Pr0n of a Queenly Nature

Normally I love winding yarn into a yarn cake. I find it meditative and the gangsta kitties find it very amusing. This yarn however, defied the yarn swift and refused the ball winder and ended up a tangled mess:

Hey, don't blame me, I'm just an innocent bystander!

Eventually, I was successful and was rewarded with cake of deep red colors:

Fleece Artist 100% Merino
I think a yarn this willful and bold is destined to become the Queen of Cups.

Wish me luck--this Friday I have to have a little oral surgery. I'm someone who gets nervous when I get my teeth cleaned so you can imagine how nervous I am over this! If only I could knit while I was in the chair.

I hate it when yarn won't play nice on the swift. Well done for untangling it all!

That's a very pretty pattern you've chosen.

Whew glad it was you and not the Gansta Kitties! That will be awesome for the Queen of Cups!

Good thoughts coming your way today! hugs!

Calming mouth vibes headed your way!

I'm impressed with your untangling-cat coordination. I have to lock my cats away if I have a Stage 9 tangle like that. I can't chase a cat chasing the yarn while I try to get the yarn to submit!

Oh I hate when yarn gets an attitude like that. I'm glad you won in the end.

Best of luck at the dentist (or oral surgeon). I'll be thinking of you and sending happy mouth thoughts.

Breath deep and think good thoughts. The dentist isn't my favorite wither - but it will be okay. Maybe you should promise yourself a nice skein of yarn after the appointment is over - you know, to help you relax.

Can't wait to see the Queen of Cups!

Beautiful yarn, but it's so temperamental! and that kitty looks like it's somehow entangled in it. Gee, I wonder why!

While I'm not a sock knitter myself, I think you've found an excellent project for your most excellent yarn. I wish my yarn were that cooperative in clearly being meant for a certain pattern!

That's like me, two socks going at once! LOVE the color of this one. Wow. Such a wonderful red, gorgeous.

The gangsta kitties strike again I see!

Oh! Whoops! I meant to say, good luck with the oral thing. I knit in the dentist chair all the time while he's working on me but it might be a bit different when they're trying to do surgery and all. Good luck!

Hope all goes well with your surgery.

Mucho cuteness with the cat, I thought the gansta kitties had raided you stash when I first saw the photo.
