Post Vacation Blues

Sigh. A week ago I was in Hawaii enjoying the whales swimming in blue waters like this:

and this:

So when I saw these at our Knit This, Purl That Knit Night, I had to snatch one up:

It's Flat Feet sock yarn in the cool bright colorway:

I think I'll call it Maui Blue:

No skein to wind--you just pull off the waste yarn and start knitting off the flat!

I also channeled my inner 70's child and got one of these new DellaQ sock bags:

So I may have the blues....but at least they're dreamy blues!

C: Hey! What about me? Turtlegirl always posts photos of her kittehs!
CP: Turtlegirl's cats don't leave skid marks on the carpet.

LOVE the Maui blue. You need to find a color called Maui onion.

And thank goodness, you got another knitting bag. I know you are running short.

Man that must have been a nice vacay... Really beautiful blues all around.. That yarn looks very interesting. You'll have to let us know how it knits up.

Oooohhhh. Lookit that blue water. *sigh*

Very interesting way to supply yarn. You'll have to let us know what it's like knitting off a pre-knitted flat!

Wow, that's some amazing blue. Isn't it weird to come back from vacation and think what you were doing a week ago? It's almost like it never happened.

I'm glad you had a nice time. Incredible that you saw whales.

I'm going to tell Cary you told the world he left skidmarks.

Interesting - is there an advantage to the pre-knit fabric other than it not rolling down the aisle of whatever means of public transit one is taking?

Ooooo, I'm so envious! I've been wanting to try that yarn. You'll have to post your opinions as you work with it.

Beautiful! It really looks like the sea, particularly with that variegation.

That blue looks just like the water! I've never seen yarn sold that way for knitting. Be sure to give us a review about knitting from it.

Yeah, sometimes I have to call the dog scooter!

Oh wow, that sock yarn is so cool. Unravel and knit, huh? What will they think of next?

And that's got to be the cutest little kitty I've seen in a while. :)

Beautiful blues - including the new yarn. Unusual idea, I'll be interested to see what you think of how it knits up.
